SAF Tehnika Collaborates with Riga Zoo

SAF Tehnika has begun a new collaboration with Riga National Zoo to raise awareness about the importance of environment and climate in animal well-being. Within this partnership, our brand Aranet provides environmental monitoring solutions that now track temperature and humidity in terrariums and other zoo facilities, helping to maintain optimal conditions for the animals.

In the educational Zinarium space, visitors can explore the interactive display “Animals’ Climate Comfort Zones”, which illustrates how different species thrive within specific ranges of temperature and humidity – and why environmental data matter.

The collaboration also carries a symbolic meaning – SAF Tehnika has become the godparent of an Ogove’s dwarf crocodile named Sirsniņa for the next two years. The christening ceremony took place on November 6, during the Zoo’s “Godparents’ Day”, an event organized for corporate supporters and partners.

Why a crocodile?

The choice of an Ogove’s dwarf crocodile is no coincidence.Crocodiles are masters of adaptability – they have survived and evolved for more than 200 million years, guided by sharp instincts and experience rather than emotion. They reflect the same core values that define SAF Tehnika: competence, adaptability, reliability, simplicity, and a customer-first attitude.

Just like this ancient species, we thrive by understanding our environment, responding with precision, and maintaining balance between knowledge, innovation, and nature.

At SAF Tehnika, we believe that technological progress and environmental awareness go hand in hand.

Our collaboration with Riga Zoo highlights this connection – combining data, education, and responsibility to build a healthier and more sustainable future for all living beings.
